Creating the optimum drive configuration takes less than 5 minutes: With the new sizing software for all Rexroth IndraDrive and IndraDyn components it is now easier to calculate the optimum sizes of the new intelligent drive generation from Rexroth. Rexroth IndraSize combines the calculation of all standard drive mechanisms with the description of sector-specific technological functions and typical application variants.

- Calculation according polynomial motion profiles: The sizing according complex law of motion like polynomial and sine is very easy. Choose the law of motion in a menu. With it the sizing of this complex motion sequences is simplified.
- New applications rotary knife, roll feed, rollfeed with straightening machine: For this kind of applications there are special mechanism and motion profiles. Enter only relevant data of the application. IndraSize generates the right motion profile and sequence automatically.
- Import of CAM table from Rexroth CamBuilder: Create the matched electronic CAM table by the Rexroth CamBuilder for your application and export it to XML format. Now you can size the drive for exactly this motion sequence. You get an optimal sized drive and an efficient operation.
- Calculation of DC-bus power: Especially in multi axes applications and complex motion profiles - IndraSize makes easier the calculation of the power for each axis.
Not a technical toy for engineers but drive sizing simple, quickly and safely
With its IndraSize software, Rexroth now makes it easier to calculate the optimum sizes of drive controllers, motors and mechanical transmissions. Thanks to the user-friendly interface it takes just a few minutes to specify the dimensions of all standard drive mechanisms such as
- ball screws with a rotating screw
- ball screws with a rotating nut
- rack and pinion
- belt and pulley
- linear direct drive
- rotary table
- rollers
- rotary knife
- winder
- roll feed
The motion sequence of the application can be configured freely with data of the kinematics
and selection of the laws of motion.
If the motion sequence can not be determined, the sizing can also be calculated with the relative duty cycle. For very complex motion sequences a cam table from Rexroth's CamBuilder software can be imported in XML format. In addition, IndraSize allows typical applications to be described in a very simple form by parameter input.

can be configured for the optimum drive solution in very little time.
The software also provides a database of optimized motor/controller combinations for
- servo drives (rotary)
- servo drives (linear)
- S1 drives (printing applications)

As the result the user always obtains the most economical drive – without expensive oversizing.
This new engineering tool from Rexroth covers the whole range of IndraDrive drives as well as all categories of the IndraDyn motor range. These include rotary synchronous and asynchronous servo motors as well as linear, torque and high-speed motors.

Installation Notes for Software IndraSize:
- Save and uncompress the ZIP-File in a temporary folder and start setup.exe
- It is not necessary to uninstall formerly versions
- ReleaseNotes regarding the current version you will find in IndraSize in the item "About IndraSize" -> "ReleaseNotes"
- Helpful notes, FAQ's and first steps for the software you will find in IndraSize in the item "Help and FAQ"
- Examples are in the folder Example (Click in IndraSize on "Project Management" -> "Project" -> "Open" and choose the folder "Example" and then a file with the extension ".ipl")
Notes if you don't have administrator rights for your PC:
If you don't have administrator rights for your PC just start after uncompress the start.exe. The software won't installed but use of the software is possible. In this case it is recommended to delete formerly versions in order to avoid mix-up.
