The Hydrostatic Regenerative Braking System HRB was recognized in the "Germany – Land of Ideas" initiative. The hydrostatic hybrid drive from Rexroth suitable for commercial vehicles and mobile equipment is one of the prize winners in the national competition "365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas". The initiative under the auspices of Germany's Federal President Horst Köhler awarded the prize to the HRB project team on March 1.

In brief: The "Germany – Land of Ideas" initiative with the "365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas" competition

- As part of their “365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas” competition the “Germany – Land of Ideas” initiative recognizes a different location each day of the year in 2009 as developing, promoting and actively implementing future-directed ideas.
- The jury selected the 365 prize winners from among 2071 competitors.
- Jury heads were Prof. Dr. Martin Roth, General Director of the Dresden State Art Collections, and Prof. Dr. Michael Hüther, Director of the Institute for German Economics in Cologne.
- The jury recognized the HRB system, which saves up to 25 percent in fuel on commercial vehicles and mobile equipment, as an innovative contribution from Germany to careful use of fossil fuels and active climate protection through reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
- Rexroth was awarded the certificate for their Hydrostatic Regenerative Braking System HRB on March 1, 2009.
