Hydrostatic Fan Drives
Approach for TIER 4 final
As TIER 4 final becomes valid in 2014 only around 10% of today’s soot and NOx emissions will be permitted. This will require comprehensive exhaust gas treatment. As a supplier, Rexroth is also involved with these challenges, with the emphasis on being an expert solutions partner for OEM.

Approach for TIER 4 final

Solution approaches for TIER 4 final using hydrostatic fan drives

To comply with legal emission limits, keeping the combustion temperature of the engine at an optimum level is not enough by itself. Additional processes or systems are called for, such as cooled exhaust gas recirculation or multi-stage turbocharging. Thus, depending on the medium to be cooled, the required cooling capacity may increase by 15 to 40 percent. This results in about 20 percent higher space requirements for the radiator. Rexroth hydrostatic fan drives compensate for these changed conditions and play a significant role in modern engine development.
