Rexroth Announces Promotions for Key Executives

Berend Bracht named Regional President, Bosch Rexroth Americas; Erwin Wieckowski promoted to Vice President for Factory Automation.


Charlotte, NC– www.boschrexroth-us.com) Bosch Rexroth Corporation recently accounced that Berend Bracht has been named regional president, Bosch Rexroth Americas. The company also has promoted Erwin Wieckowski to the position of Executive Vice President for Factory Automation. Both executives are located with the other members of Rexroth’s US executive team in Bosch Rexroth’s Charlotte, North Carolina facility.


Bracht, also president of the Bosch Rexroth Corporation in North America, started his career with the company in 1991 as a hydraulics sales engineer in Munich, Germany and continued to advance through the company. With the merger of Bosch and Rexroth in 2001, Bracht was appointed vice president and general manager for the overall U.S. Industrial Hydraulics group. He accepted the position as CEO for Bosch Rexroth China in 2004. In his new role, Bracht will develop and coordinate strategies to expand Rexroth’s business throughout the Americas.


Raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Bracht received master degrees in Mechanical Engineering (Master of Engineering), and Business Administration (MBA) from the Technical University in Munich. Erwin Wieckowski, in his new position, is now responsible for Rexroth’s Automation business in all key industry sectors, across all Rexroth product groups: Electric Drives and Controls, Hydraulics, Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies, Pneumatics and Service segments in the United States.


Wieckowski reports to Berend Bracht. Most recently, Erwin Wieckowski was vice president and general manager for Rexroth’s Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies Group, where he was responsible for all of the company’s linear motion and assembly products and technology in the United States, including aluminum structural framing, ball rail systems, ball screws, flexible conveyors, linear motion systems, manual production systems and other key product lines. Wieckowski began his career as a plant engineer, later becoming an application engineer and Total Quality Management (TQM) coordinator before moving into product and sales management roles. A member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, Wieckowski has degrees in Applied Science and Management Sciences from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario (Canada).
