Rexroth Easy-2-Combine Expands Mounting Options to Include Pneumatic Valve Mounting - Pack Expo 2009 |

Rexroth has expanded the Easy-2-Combine product line by adding the ability to mount pneumatic directional control valves on to actuators, providing energy savings by reducing air tube length (and air volume), while decreasing cycle times making machinery run faster.
(Lexington, KY – www.boschrexroth-us.com/pneumatics) The Easy-2-Combine automation system from Rexroth allows custom handling solutions to be built from standard pneumatic actuator components by using standardized interfaces. Just released, it is the expansion to Easy-2-Combine to allow easy mounting of Series LS04 pneumatic directional control valves to actuators such as Series RTC and GSU rodless cylinders, and Series MSC slide units.
By mounting the valve close to the actuator, air line length is minimized, which saves energy by reducing air volume, and can decrease machine cycle times. The air volume is even more significant if cable tracks are involved. The Series LS04 valve(s) is attached to a T-plate that also provides interface for a Series RCM rotary module, or mounts for a vacuum cup, NCT (Non-Contact Transfer unit), or Series GSP gripper.
The LS04 valve is especially suited for end effecter applications due to its extremely compact dimensions, light weight and corrosion resistant materials.
Another expansion to Easy-2-Combine is an adapter plate to combine an RTC Heavy-Duty version rodless cylinder with a Compact Guide version RTC, thus opening up even more X-Z axis options. An online configurator for Easy-2-Combine simplifies system design and provides CAD drawings.
