 | Sometimes we run across diversions from unlikely sources: Our own company! Of course, Bosch and Rexroth employ thousands of creative associates worldwide, and it seems that, recently, a few of them have gotten out their tuning forks and recorded some memorable tunes. Downloads are a little large, but well worth it. Without further ado, we present: |
New! Banjo Music Featured in our New Lean Podcasts

 | One of our fearless Creative Diversions team members started messing around with a banjo two years ago. Now, banjo music just seems to be popping up everywhere. For example, we’ve just launched a new podcast series on lean manufacturing and you can just guess what kind of music opens and closes each episode. Yep. Old time banjo.
But seriously, these banjo artists are extremely talented, and they’ve come to us through the Banjo Hangout (www.banjohangout.org) - an online community for banjo players of virtually any stripe. If you love old-time banjo music, you can go straight to the music via our “Liner Notes” page, where we’ll feature a new artist each month, or you can listen to the podcasts and learn something about lean. (That way you can tell your boss what you’re doing.) |

The Drive & Control Song from the 2007 Hannover Fair

There’s nothing like a catchy jingle to get you through the day. Our counterparts in Germany didn’t want anyone to forget about us after Hannover, so they came up with a fantastic stage show and musical extravaganza. We’re sure that the song stuck with visitors better than the old Flintstones theme song. One listen, and you’ll find yourself humming it all day.

Got Melody?

If you’ve got musical diversions of your own that are either engineering or work-related, let us know. Anything we post is eligible for reward—we might just engrave the lyrics on a hydraulic pump. So send us your rhapsodies, waltzes, jingles and hip hop. If it passes our excruciating judicial review, we’ll post it right here, alongside the current Top Two. Submit your own musical diversion.
