Bosch Automation Technology and Rexroth join forces to form the Bosch Rexroth Corporation.

1998
Bosch Automation Products becomes part of Bosch Automation Technology, along with Bosch Fluid Power and Bosch Industrial Controls.

1996
Bosch founds the Automation Technology business unit by integrating Industrial Equipment and Hydraulics/Pneumatics.

1992
AB Mecman is purchased by Mannesmann and becomes part of Rexroths Pneumatics division.

1991
Deutsch Star acquires Tychoway Bearings Company and begins marketing a broad linear product offering in the U.S. The company is renamed Star Linear Systems Co.

The first U.S. SERCOS open drive system is installed at a GM engineering plant.

1989
Mannesmann Rexroth GmbH purchases WABCO Fluid Power and forms the Pneumatics division in Lexington, KY.

1987
Mannesmann Rexroth GmbH expands its product range with linear motion technology by acquiring Deutsch Star GmbH, Schweinfurt.

1986
Robert Bosch Corporation acquires all the common stock of Weldun International so that Weldun automation products become Bosch automation products.

1983
Indramat installs the first major U.S. automotive application in the Ford Livonia transmission plant.

1979
Rexroth establishes the Mobile Hydraulics Manufacturing Division in Wooster, OH.

1976
Rexroth becomes a 100 percent subsidiary of Mannesmann AG.

1975
Bosch establishes the Industrial Equipment business unit, predecessor of Automation Technology.

1968
Mannesmann AG acquires an interest in Rexroth. Rexroth Corporation opens its doors in Bethlehem, PA.

1965
Rexroth takes over Indramat GmbH, the beginning of the Electric Drives and Controls division that specialized in electronic control systems.

1957
Rexroth experiences great success with its first large order the engineering, manufacturing and on-site assembly of a complete hydraulic system for a newly constructed steel mill, marking the beginning of the companys total systems capability.

1952/53
Rexroth and Bosch branch out into hydraulics.

1902
Industrial systems are constructed for the manufacture of the first high-voltage magnetos and spark plugs, the basis of Bosch Automation Technology.

1886
Bosch founds a precision mechanics and electrical engineering workshop.

1795
