Rexroth Lean Manufacturing Expert to Teach at National Manufacturing Week’s Assembly Technology Expo

Rexroth lean manufacturing expert Kurt Greissinger will teach the “Box Game” – a hands-on simulation system showing the concept of single-piece flow in a lean environment.

(Buchanan, MI – www.boschrexroth-us.com) Kurt Greissinger, a lean manufacturing expert for the Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies group at the Bosch Rexroth Corporation, will be teaching a seminar called The Box Game Single Piece Flow in the Lean Factory Experience during the 2007 National Manufacturing Week’s Assembly Technology Expo (ATE) at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont (Chicago), IL.

Greissinger’s lean manufacturing session takes place Wednesday, September 26, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and will be repeated from 10:35 AM - 12:00 PM.

Greissinger will teach a simulation system called the “Box Game,” a real-time hands-on experience showing the concept of single-piece flow in a lean environment. The Box Game is the same simulation system used to train Rexroth employees in their lean production strategy.

About Kurt Greissinger
Greissinger is the product marketing manager for the new Manual Production Systems product line at the Bosch Rexroth Corporation’s Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies Group in Buchanan, MI. He began working as a process engineer and has spent his career helping companies optimize processes and flows while eliminating waste. Prior to joining Bosch Rexroth, Greissinger was helping to lead the semiconductor industry in its adoption of lean manufacturing techniques.

Greissinger holds a B.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA from Grand Valley State University. He has conducted the "Box Game" around the country to hundreds of participants.
