Rexroth Names Ted Thayer New PLC and HMI Product Manager

 
Ted Thayer will be responsible for PLC and HMI product releases, developing and maintaining customer and partner relationships, and implementing various PLC training initiatives for Bosch Rexroth’s Electric Drives and Controls technology group.

(Hoffman Estates, IL — www.boschrexroth-us.com) The Electric Drives and Controls technology group of Bosch Rexroth Corporation recently announced that Ted Thayer has been named PLC and HMI Product Manager.

In his new position, Thayer will be responsible for new PLC and HMI product releases, developing and maintaining customer and partner relationships, and implementing various PLC training initiatives.

Prior to joining Bosch Rexroth, Thayer supervised the Technical Assistance Center at Mitsubishi Electric Automation where he directed call center operations, provided technical support for industrial automation products and taught a wide range of training classes. He also developed a product training program and was a contributing member on numerous sales efforts with Chrysler, U.S. Postal Service, Corning and Applied Materials.

Between 1997 and 2000, Thayer held various engineering positions including Applications Engineer, Associate Controls Engineer and Senior Development Engineer.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Northern Illinois University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix and he is also a graduate of DeviceNet University. In addition, Thayer has a Project Management Professional Certification and is a Certified Profibus Engineer, as well as a Certified Support Center Supervisor.
