New modules enhance machine control
Three new inline I/O modules, with powerful encoder feedback capabilities for dependable drive control, add new functionality to the Rexroth family of scalable PLCs. The SSI, INC, and PWM/2 I/O modules can all be used with any Rexroth PLC, for either local or remote I/O applications.
The SSI and INC modules are designed to support a small number of axes while dictating position and speed -- so you can scale machine costs to the requirements of the application. The PWM/2 combines capabilities for step and direction control and pulse width modulation. That gives machine builders flexibility to control pulse width and reduce both drive temperature and energy costs.
All three modules reduce engineering time and investment, and are well suited to a variety of applications including printing, food and beverage, packaging, and general automation.
