Fan drive for bus
The Rexroth Fan Drives Application Center uses a complete range of hydraulic pumps and motors (axial piston pumps and motors, external gear pumps and motors) plus thermal relief valves and electronic controls, to develop fan drives tailored to public transit and on-highway buses. Rexroth fan drives are at work in construction, agriculture, forestry, and road and rail vehicles, maintaining optimum operating temperatures while meeting increasingly strict emissions requirements.

Rexroth fan drive features and benefits:
  • Continuous control of fan speed from minimum to maximum
  • Can be mounted in a wide range of space-saving locations on the vehicle
  • Hydraulic pump pressure cut-off to produce maximum fan speed
  • Fan wheel’s direction of rotation can be reversed by reversing the hydraulic pump
  • Cuts down on fuel consumption, exhaust emissions, and noise

Hydraulic Hybrid System

The parallel Hydraulic Hybrid System (HRB) is a hybrid propulsion system for vehicles with no hydrostatic transmission. The HRB allows vehicle designers to realize optimize fuel savings and acceleration capabilities in applications such as waste disposal and public transit buses.

The series HRB uses the components in an existing hydrostatic transmission, so the system can easily be retrofitted to vehicles – producing significant fuel savings. Applications for the series HRB include fork lifts, port terminal tractors, pneumatic tire rollers and telehandlers.
