Bosch Rexroth's deflection calculator is an Excel-based application to assist in sizing aluminum framing. The calculator gives the deflection of a given size profile in three separate load configurations.
Download Directions
- Download the Deflection calculator using the download link on the right
- Once downloaded, run the .exe program to install the deflection calculator
- A shortcut to the spreadsheet will appear on your desktop. Double-click the Excel icon to start
- To run a calculation, start by selecting a profile type
• Enter the length of the profile, load amount and the orientation if the profile is not square
- You can toggle the input from Metric to English by selecting the Force Units drop down box
- Press enter after entering any values
- The results of the calculation and the deflection values will appear in the center of the spreadsheet
